BEYOND THE FRAME OF THINGS

Life is not perfect,
nor should we ever wish it so.
In the silent field beyond all knowing,
wonder breaks open—
at what is,
and what is not.
And that is more than much;
it is vast.

On the trembling edge where opposites meet,
emptiness gathers what will fill it.
To that space we may return,
to witness,
to loosen,
to surrender,
to free ourselves again.

For only through the crack of imperfection
can a new world come to form,
and the unfinished labor of our living
carry us toward unbounded
completion.
